Ciroc and Diddy Partner Up To Amplify Black Voices In Honor Of March On Washington

In honor of today’s March on Washington, Ciroc and Sean “Diddy” Combs are celebrating our freedom to speak up by amplifying the powerful voices of modern-day change makers in the Black community. Now more than ever, the words and work of these leaders need to be amplified at scale across our country.

1. Amanda Seales joins CÎROC in spreading messages of resilience across America

Combs and CÎROC partnered with actress Amanda Seales, hip-hop artist Rapsody, actor Brandon Kyle Goodman, actor Lance Gross, culture writer Jamilah Lemieux, activist Kimberly L. Jones, and activist and entrepreneur Alencia Johnson, to provide new messages of resilience that are being shared across billboards in Washington DC, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit and New York City.

Combs commented on the body of work that was released by noting “Black Unity. Black Love. Black Excellence. We Are Kings And Queens. We Are More Powerful Together.”

As part of CÎROC’s ongoing commitment to amplifying Black voices and supporting the Black community, the brand is making a contribution to Black Girl Ventures Foundation, to support their mission to create access to social and financial capital for Black & Brown women founders and future changemakers in our communities.

  • Amanda Seales (Comedian, “Insecure” Actress & Creator, “Smart Funny & Black”): “Pride in our power. Strength in our stride. You can attempt to imitate, but soul you cannot buy.”
  • Brandon Kyle Goodman (“Big Mouth” Writer/Actor): “We are showing up. We are fighting. For our freedom. For our joy. For each other. We are showing up. Bet on that.”
  • Rapsody (Hip Hop Artist): “We must not allow the ills of the world to dull our joy, for that is the fuel that keeps our fire burning!”
  • Lance Gross (Actor): “As a people there’s nothing we can’t do. We are strong individually, but together unstoppable. It’s important to keep up our fight.”
  • Jamilah Lemieux (Renowned Cultural Critic & Writer): “Black joy is essential to our fight for freedom.”
  • Kimberly L. Jones (Activist and Author): “Black people want equality. Not revenge.”
  • Alencia Johnson (Activist & Entrepreneur): “On the road to justice and freedom, let Black joy be part of the resistance.”

Today marks the 57th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr’s “I Have a Dream Speech” and with the 2020 March on Washington, Ciroc, Combs, and people across the planet look to amplify another generation of voices.
