It may be World Gin Day on July 11th (and the perfect occasion to celebrate with all the flavor minus the tomfoolery thanks to our friends at Lyre’s Spirit Co) but we think these classic non-alcoholic gin cocktails are a fool proof go-to all year round.

Lyre’s G&T

There’s nothing quite like a Summer afternoon at the elephant polo enjoying a G&T with friends. And we’re not referring to an issue of Giggle & Toff, the magazine for trust fund babies (although it is a frightfully super read!).

Ingredients:

Method: Add ingredients in glass. Fill with ice. Stir.
Glassware: Highball
Garnish: Rosemary Sprig

Lyre’s London Dry Collins

Another classic yet simple cocktail, the Dry Collins was invented by Mr John Collins, a bartender at a London dive bar famous for its Gin Punch. This refreshing, lemony cocktail has been imbibed on the beaches, the seas and the fields of Britain and its far-flung colonies since Winston was in short pants.

Ingredients:

Method: Add ingredients in glass. Fill with ice. Stir 
Glassware: Highball
Garnish: Lemon wheel

Lyre’s Southside

This vintage cocktail combines the flavours of Lyre’s Dry London Spirit and Absinthe with perfumed mint and citrus served up and icy cold. This drink is said to have come from the southside of Chicago during prohibition where mobsters enjoyed its fresh and vibrant flavours, while taking care of business.

Ingredients:

Method: Shake briefly with ice, fine strain into glass
Glass: Cocktail coupette
Garnish: Neat mint leaf float

Take A Mule And Mojito With A Good Slug Of Lyre’s Dry London Spirit And You’ll End Up With The Gin Gin Mule. This Modern Classic Was Created In Nyc’s Pegu Club And It’s A Snappy, Delicious Highball So Refreshing Its Truly Memorable. The Ingredients Are Also In The Title, Gin And Gin(Ger). See What Audrey Did There?!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Parts (60ml/2 Fl Oz) Lyre’s Dry London Spirit
  • ¼ Part (7.5ml/ ¼ Fl Oz) White Sugar Syrup (1:1)
  • ½ Part (15ml/ ½ Fl Oz) Lime Juice
  • 3 Parts (90ml/3 Fl Oz) Premium Ginger Ale
  • 8 Mint Leaves

Method: Add Ingredients To Glass, Fill With Ice, Stir
Glass: Highball
Garnish: Plump Mint Sprig, Lime Wedge 

Lyre’s Basil Gimlet

Basil Gimlet. Now that is a great name. The eclectic combination of Dry London Spirit, Mint Tea Syrup and basil is like a Tally Ho! for your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 45mL (1.5oz) Lyre’s Dry London Spirit
  • 10mL (0.25oz) premium elderflower cordial
  • 20mL (0.5oz) mint tea syrup*
  • 30mL (1oz) lime juice
  • 2-3 drops peach bitters
  • 6-8 fresh basil leaves

Method: Shake hard briefly, fine strain
Glass: Cocktail coupette
Garnish: Fresh clean basil leaf float

Mint Tea Syrup: 1000mL very strong mint tea, 1000mL white sugar syrup (1:1).

Method: Mix together and pour into clean skin bottles
