Super Bowl watch parties may look a little different this year, but that doesn’t mean good food and great cocktails shouldn’t be on the menu. From rum drinks fit for a Buccaneer to Whiskey mixes that’ll have you doing the Kansas City two step, these beverages are perfect for any game day party whether you’re celebrating in-person or virtually.

Bourbon, Brandy, Gin, Tequila, whatever your poison, Spirited Zine’s list of Super Bowl LV cocktails will have you celebrating whether your team wins or loses. So without further ado, here’s our list of great game day drinks:

Tanqueray Grapefruit Martini

Tanqueray 10 Grapefruit Martini Super Bowl Cocktails

Ingredients:

  • 1.25 oz Tanqueray No. TEN
  • 1/3 oz Dry Vermouth
  • Garnish: Grapefruit peel
  • Glass: Martini glass

Combine Tanqueray No. TEN and dry vermouth in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with lemon curl or olive.

Cranberry Martini

Cranberry Martini SB LV

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Cîroc White Grape
  • .75 oz Fino Sherry
  • 3 Dashes Cranberry Bitters 
  • Garnish: Skewered Cranberries
  • Glass: Coupe glass

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass. Fill with ice and stir 20-25 times. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with 3 cranberries on a cocktail pick.

Diddy’s Ciroc Game Day Splash

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. CÎROC Vodka
  • 1.5 oz. Lemonade
  • Garnish: Lemon wheel
  • Glassware: Highball glass

Combine ingredients in a Highball glass filled with ice. Stir, then garnish with lemon wheel.

Blanco Coco

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Tequila Don Julio Blanco 
  • 1 oz Vita Coco Coconut Water
  • 1/2 oz Fresh Lime Juice

Combine Tequila Don Julio Blanco, Vita Coco Coconut Water, and fresh lime juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.  Strain contents into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish with a lime wheel.

Dancing Juice

Ingredients:

  • 1 part SelvaRey White Rum
  • 3 parts Ginger Ale
  • Squeeze of Lime
  • Glass: Highball

Combine ingredients over ice. Stir and garnish with a lime wedge.

Buchanan’s Strawberry Slam Sour

Orange Super Bowl Cocktails

Ingredients:

Combine Buchanan’s 12-Year-Old DeLuxe, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain contents into a highball glass over fresh ice. Fill to top with ginger beer and garnish with fresh strawberries and fresh rosemary sprig.

Harper’s Touchdown Julep

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz I.W. Harper Bourbon Whiskey
  • 8-10 Mint Leaves
  • .5 oz Rosemary Syrup
  • Garnish: Rosemary spring and mint spring
  • Glassware: Julep cup or crushed ice filled old-fashioned glass

Hand-clap mint and add it with all ingredients into serving glass. Stir to mix, add crushed ice and stir again, then top it with more ice.

Mesquite Penicillin

Mesquite Penicillin Super Bowl Cocktails

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Lost Lantern American Vatted Malt Edition No 1
  • 3/4 oz honey-ginger syrup (see recipe below)
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 oz Colkegan Single Malt, Lost Lantern @santafespirits Single Malt Single Cask, or any mesquite-smoked single malt

Combine Vatted Malt, honey-ginger syrup, lemon juice, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice (preferably one or two large ice cubes). Float the mesquite-smoked single malt and garnish with candied ginger

Honey-Ginger Syrup:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 inch chunk of ginger

Combine the ingredients in a small pan, bring to a boil, then simmer for 5-10 minutes, chill in the fridge overnight (or for a few hours), strain out the ginger.

Vieux Carre

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Very Special
  • .75 oz Rye Whiskey
  • .75 oz Vermouth Rouge
  • .2 oz Homemade cognac based plant liqueur
  • 3 dashes Aromatic bitters
  • 3 dashes spicy bitters
  • Twist of lemon

Into a mixing glass, measure the Cognac, whiskey and vermouth. Add the liqueur, the bitters, then fill the mixing glass halfway with ice. Stir with a bar spoon until chilled, about 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Rub the lemon twist around the rim of the glass, drop it in the cocktail, and serve.
