Bacardi Relaunches Ready-To-Drink Canned Cocktails Just In Time For National Rum Day

National Rum Day (August 16) is just around the corner and Bacardi has relaunched their ready-to-drink canned cocktails in the United Kingdom just in time for the celebration. The redesigned cans come in four flavors: Bacardi Mojito, Bacardi Rum & Coke, Bacardi Spiced & Cola, and Bacardi Raspberry Spritz.

“We know the demand for ready-to-drink cocktails is increasing as the sector has grown by 43% growth in the past two years. Consumers need convenience more than ever – but not at the cost of amazing taste, which is why we’ve brought out some of the nation’s favourite cocktails in ready-to-drink cans. We’re delighted BACARDÍ fans will get to enjoy these delicious cocktails as they savour the rest of the summer sun,” said Tine Van Nevel, Brand Director of BACARDÍ Europe.

“This summer is all about making the most of our amazing outdoor spaces and soaking up the sun, and what better way to enjoy the heat than with a delicious, chilled cocktail? Our ready-to-drink cocktail cans are easy to keep cold and bursting with vibrant flavour, making them the perfect drink for any summer occasion,” commented Metinee Kongsrivilai, UK Brand Ambassador for BACARDÍ.

Bacardi ready-to-drink canned cocktails have an ABV of 5% and cost £1.80 ($2.35 USD) per 250ml can.

While the packaging and flavor options are a little different, the Bermuda-headquartered Rum distillers launched their U.S. variety of canned cocktails back in June. The ‘Real Rum Cocktails’ come in three flavors: Lime & Soda, Limon & Lemonade, and Rum Punch.

This has certainly been the year, and even more the summer, of canned cocktails. Absolut Vodka joined the party with six RTD options. Kahlua introduced a Nitro Cold Brew that features Rum, while Tia Maria unveiled their own Iced Coffee Frappe. Opihr released two Gin & Tonic canned cocktail options.

It wasn’t only the big names delivering new, aluminum-wrapped delights, Volley entered the game four Tequila-based RTDs and Onda launched their own sparkling Tequila canned cocktail. Those looking for something a bit harder, meanwhile, might want to give Siponey Royale a try.
