Bruichladdich Fèis Ìle 2021

Bruichladdich has launched two new whiskies for Fèis Ìle 2021, along with an exclusive bottling of one of the oldest aged gins on the market, the Botanist 2011 Single Cask Islay Aged Gin. The Fèis Ìle exclusive Scotch whiskies are unpeated single malts, Bruichladdich Laddie Origins Fèis Ìle 2021 and Bruichladdich Fèis Ìle 2021 Single Cask:

Bruichladdich Laddie Origins Fèis Ìle 2021 celebrates the 20 years since the distillery’s resurrection, drawing unpeated single malt from 13 casks across 12 vintages, 6 barley types, and 9 different cask types. Non-chill filtered and coloring free, it is bottled at 56.3% ABV. The whisky is limited to 3,000 bottles and priced at £150 per 700ml bottle.

Distilled in 2003 from 100% Scottish barley, the 17 year old Fèis Ìle 2021 Single Cask is unpeated and was matured full term in an “incredible” 2nd fill sherry cask and was hand-selected by Head Distiller Adam Hannett for release as a Fèis Ìle 2021 exclusive. Bottled at 59.2% ABV, the whisky is non-chill filtered and coloring free. It is limited to 840 bottles and priced at £150 per 500ml bottle.

The Botanist 2011 Single Cask Islay Aged Gin features a palate that combines notes of brown sugar, honey, tobacco, and toffee from the oak, with a finish of citrus freshness and sweet-scented juniper. The gin matured in a premium red wine cask, soaking up the color and flavors of the oak barrel and the marine influence of the Islay sea air. With just one cask worth of the exclusive gin created, there are only 418 350ml bottles of the limited-edition liquid available.

Due to the highly limited nature of Fèis Ìle releases, interested individuals must enter a ballot on the Bruichladdich website (open now and closing on June 4th) for the chance to purchase any of the three bottles.
