Delamain And Virgin Atlantic Are Offering Inflight Cognac Tastings

Delamain Cognac has teamed up with Virgin Atlantic to launch “The Booth”. The luxury space provides upper class passengers with the opportunity to enjoy a variety of inflight experiences, from Cognac tastings to card games.

The Booth will take shape as a cozy corner of Virgin Atlantic’s Airbus A350 aircraft, where the airline’s upper class passengers can enjoy in-flight experiences. For the Cognac tasting, Delamain’s lagship Pale & Dry X.O will be paired with chocolate. The experience includes specially commissioned tasting glasses, tips, and notes.

“We always strive to create brilliantly different experiences for our customers and the introduction of The Booth demonstrates this perfectly,” said Corneel Koster, Chief Customer and Operations Officer at Virgin Atlantic. “We’re famous for our on-board social spaces and The Booth elevates the customer proposition for our leisure travellers to new heights.”

The first passengers to enjoy The Booth will be those flying from London Heathrow to Orlando. More A350’s with The Booth social space are scheduled to arrive later in 2022.

“Pale & Dry X.O was launched just over 100 years ago, an innovative, elegant and game-changing cognac that represented an optimism and excitement of what would be one of history’s most exciting decades of exploration and travel,” said Delamain managing director Charles Braastad. “What an opportunity for us, therefore, to have a dynamic partner like Virgin Airways, to introduce this classic X.O cognac to travelers still looking to make the journey part of the thrill of travel.”

Last summer, Delamain Cognac was elected to membership of the Comité Colbert, France’s “Voice of French Luxury.” Created in 1954, The Comité Colbert protects and champions French artisans and artists pursuing the creation of products that reflect “The Art of French Living,” and since its founding has become one of France’s most important cultural institutions.
