On November 15, Edrington-Beam Suntory will launch Auchentoshan Sauvignon Blanc, a Sauvignon Blanc finish of its Auchentoshan malt whisky brand. It will be exclusively sold on Amazon in the UK.
The whisky is aged in ex-Bourbon barrels and then finished in Sauvignon Blanc barriques, which, according to the spirits group, gives it a “distinct, smooth and high-quality taste.” According to the company, white grapefruit, white peaches, green apple, honeysuckle, Scotch broom and jasmine appear on the nose. The palate, meanwhile has “zesty notes, green grapes, light acacia honey and lemon curd, vanilla sweetness, lychees and honeydew melon, but also dried grass and hay notes.”
According to the brand, “Auchentoshan Sauvignon Blanc brings together two things that urban consumers love – the smooth triple-distilled taste of Auchentoshan and the unique flavour of sauvignon blanc. The marriage of fresh citrus and apple flavours from sauvignon blanc casks and the award winning Auchentoshan single malt scotch whisky has been crafted to be served chilled and shared with friends.“
Distilled at 47 percent ABV, the whisky can be ordered on Amazon for £50 ($65).
