Estonian Distillery Liviko Releases Travel Safe Bio Vodka, a Dual Purpose Spirit And Disinfectant

Earlier this week, Estonian distillery Liviko launched Travel Safe bio Vodka, a dual purpose spirit and disinfectant. It’s the perfect product for the coronavirus crisis impacted Spirits lover as it can be used to disinfect hands, surfaces, fruit, and vegetables.

Made from 100% organic corn, the Vodka comes in travel-size 100ml bottles. Each container has a built-in pourer, making it convenient to use while on the go.

At 60% ABV, it’s the perfect partner for travel as you don’t need to use as much in your cocktail, and still get the “desired effect.” And because the level of alcohol is so high, the Vodka can be used as an effective disinfectant. It evaporates slowly and doesn’t harm skin when applied, helping to ensure the cleanliness of surfaces or one’s self when applied.

Liviko Export Director Jörgen Herman stated, “It’s designed for people who love to travel. It’s the perfect size for travelling and staying safe, as it can also be used as a disinfectant for hands, surfaces, fruit and vegetables.”

The Vodka was specifically designed with the needs of duty free stores and travel retail in mind, explained Herman. Adding, “Duty free and travel retail are among the sectors that have suffered the most during the worldwide coronavirus crisis, but at the same time they’re influential sectors in setting new trends, as business and leisure travellers are always open to new and innovative products. That’s why we were willing to dedicate our skills and knowledge to designing new functionalities for travel retail.”

Established in 1898, Liviko is best known for producing Vana Tallinn, a rum-based liqueur, and Viru Valge Vodka. It also makes Crafter’s London Dry Gin and the colour-changing Crafter’s Aromatic Flower Gin. Already one of the largest distilleries in Estonia, the release of Travel Safe bio Vodka looks set to bring the brand to a whole new set of customers across the globe.
