Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver is the Mexican spirits brand’s signature plata Tequila. It’s crisp, it’s clear, and it’s a heck of a way to start off a Friday night. It’s not pretentious like many other brands have become in recent years. This is Tequila made for shooting, but it also goes great in a mixed drink
Tradicional Silver is made from 100% blue agave and it’s not aged. It’s refined and goes through a “special process” to conserve its unique flavors.
On the nose, aromas of honeysuckle, pepper, and citrus mix with a slight alcohol burn. The palate features a light mouthfeel with grapefruit, lime, and hints of pepper as well as a bit mor fire. The finish is quick and crisp with a note of citrus. To note, It’s meant to be chilled in the freezer.
If you’re looking to mix up a cocktail with it, Jose Cuervo recommends a Zen Collins:
- 2 oz. Jose Cuervo Tradicional Tequila Plata

- .5 oz Simple Sugar
- 3 oz Soda Water
- 3-4 slices Cucumber
