Despite the freakishly cold snap that brought frost to some part of the UK this weekend, the pubs are once again reopening, and summer keeps promising to make an appearance, and whether we’re allowed to go outside or not, we’re definitely allowed to drink and get ourselves geared up for the shiny season. So if you’re drinking in a back garden, a front garden, a park or just a window from where you watch the world, there are worse ideas than marking the season with Marks and Spencer’s new Cherry Blossom Gin Glitter Globe.
Launched across it’s stores on April 6, Marks & Spencer commenced selling the brand new Cherry Blossom flavour of its delicious-tasting and very successful Gin Glitter Globe. That’s only part of the good news, even better to hear is the price comes in at a very affordable, £17 a bottle.
The drink promises delicate floral cherry notes, with hints of peach. Already, this sounds like your new favourite summer tipple.
Almost too pretty to open, the gin comes accessorized with 23 carat edible gold leaf as well as an eye-catchingly beautiful ‘animated’ label of blossoms falling.
Naturally there are recommended serves – It’s meant to taste delicious poured neat over ice with a squeeze of lime. And even better, mixed in a gin cocktail aka this Cherry Blossom Cocktail, featuring one part Cherry Blossom Gin topped up with Conte Priuli Summer Prosecco and garnished with edible flowers (optional, but totally necessary).
Head over to Marks & Spencer’s official website to find a bottle near you.
Working on your gin selection; ready for summer? Bombay Sapphire Sunset is the latest flavour to be added to the iconic gin company’s portfolio, and it’s flavoured with warming spices and bittersweet mandarin. So that’s a good one to pop on your gin trolley too.
