Patrón has released its limited-edition Barrel Select Añejo. The new tequila is available exclusively at British department store Fortnum & Mason.

Patrón Barrel Select Añejo aged for 26 months in a barrel made of American and French oak. Fortnum & Mason’s spirits buyer Oscar Dodd chose the single barrel from the exclusive barrel select reserves at Hacienda Patrón in Jalisco, Mexico.

A deep golden color in the bottle, the nose brims with roasted fruit and nuts, cut grass, and tropical rainstorms. The palate delivers stone fruits, roasted pineapple, and Speyside salinity.

“Generous and rounded, this is a tequila to tantalize the most discerning of sippers whilst bringing brand-new fans to this incredible family of spirits,” says the department store. “It is perfect for both the avid agave fan, but also the whisky drinker looking for the perfect tequila.”

Patrón launched its single barrel program in 2014, allowing the brand’s close friends and partners an opportunity to select their own barrel of Tequila.

Only 372 individually numbered bottles of Fortnum & Mason x Patrón Barrel Select Añejo Tequila have been drawn. It is available to purchase for £85 ($107 USD) per 70cl bottle in Fortnum & Mason’s UK stores and online.

In January, Patrón teamed up with BlockBar to launch its first-ever NFT, unlocking a bottle of the limited-edition Patrón Chairman’s Reserve. This one-of-a-kind, exclusive blend had previously never been released to the public, and purchase of the NFT provides ownership rights to the physical bottle of Chairman’s Reserve.

In October, the Bacardi-owned brand announced the release of its latest aged expression, Patrón Sherry Cask Aged Añejo.
