The Glenlivet Debuts Distillery Reserve Collection

The Glenlivet Distillery Reserve Collection

The Glenlivet has unveiled its Distillery Reserve Collection. The new whisky range launches with 10, 14 and 22 Years Old single cask expressions that are designed to showcase the Speyside distillery’s finest craftsmanship.

All three expressions in the Glenlivet Distillery Reserve Collection are bottled at cask strength. New labels have been designed for the collection, which illustrate the journey of each expression before it was drawn from the cask, and each bottle has been individually numbered to identify the age, cask type and bottling date.

Bottled at 59.1% ABV, The Glenlivet Distillery Reserve Collection 10 Years Old is taken from a first-fill sherry cask. On the nose, warming spiced red apples are complemented by raisin fudge, treacle cake. and sticky dates. The palate features juicy spiced poached pears, dark chocolate ganache, and red berry compote, which give way to warming ginger and freshly baked glazed cinnamon buns. The finish is long and dry with warming spice. Just 849 bottles of the Scotch will be available and are priced at £70 ($92 USD) per 500ml bottle.

On those, toffee, dark chocolate raisins, and treacle cake are followed by cherry boiled sweets, freshly ground cinnamon, and damson jam. The palate offers tropical notes of ripe pineapple and juicy mango, which give way to lemon curd, honeycomb, white chocolate then peaches and cream. The finish is long, sweet, and fruity. Just 277 bottles of the whisky have been produced and are priced at £175 ($229).

Linda Brown, brand home manager at The Glenlivet, said: “Usually, these limited-edition collections would be available only to guests visiting the distillery in person. However, we’ve taken this opportunity to make them available for pre-order through our website for advocates and collectors of The Glenlivet across the world.

“The rare collection celebrates the best the distillery and Speyside has to offer and is a testament to the rich, bold flavours our makers can achieve. The Distillery Reserve Collection offers something truly unique in terms of taste, quality and experience.”

The Glenlivet Distillery Reserve Collection whiskies are available via the company’s official website.

In January, The Glenlivet launched a new collection of glassless and edible whisky cocktail capsules, featuring five new flavors which explore the Speyside brand’s portfolio.
