The Woodward Delivers Lakeside Luxury With Cocktails Overlooking Geneva Harbor

|

Geneva has added another luxury five-star hotel to its northern banks, The Woodward. Boasting 26 suites, two restaurants, and a spa, the new luxury lakeside stay offers guests the opportunity to sip cocktails while overlooking Lake Geneva’s iconic harbor.

Located in a former bank, The Woodward was designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, known for The Savoy in London and Paris’ Four Seasons Hotel George V. The 26 suites range in size from 600 square feet to 3,300 square feet and start at around $1,150 per night. Large fireplaces and plush carpets envelop the spaces in a luxurious warmth, while white walls and large windows bring light and space to every room. All come with beautiful white-marble bathrooms stocked with products from tony British toiletry brand Bamford.

Fine dining and top-notch drinks are available via the hotel’s two restaurants–both helmed by Chef Olivier Jean–an outpost of Joël Robuchon L’Atelier and the first European satellite for plant-based, Michelin star owner Le Jardinier. L’Atelier Robuchon features the legendary chef’s open kitchen concept, creating a theatrical dining experience for 36 guests seated around the counter–there are also two additional dining rooms. The restaurant serves a French-inspired tasting menu along with a la carte options that include the famed Le Caviar Impérial (Sologne Imperial caviar and crab, refreshing lobster jelly), La Truffe Noire (winter black truffle shavings on a soft boiled egg , golden pearl rice with Gruyere cheese, Pata Blanca ham), and La Caille (foie gras stuffed and caramelized quail, potato purée). There’s also an impressive wine list as well as classic cocktails and inspired new creations.

The restaurant serves a variety of plant-inspired cocktails, including L’agrume (floral, aigre, appétissant) and Le Basilic (herbacé, doux, frais).

Nearby, visitors will find a variety of top-notch watch museums, including ones from Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet.
