8 End Of Summer Cocktails To Extend Everyone’s Favorite Season

Unfortunately, summer is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean we can’t extend it a bit longer with the help of some refreshing mixed drinks. With that in mind, we put together a list of end of summer cocktails that should help everyone squeeze out those last drops of fun in the sun.

Whether you’re looking for some sweet and spicy sangria, a tequila and tea combo, or plays on classics like a strawberry whiskey sour, these end of summer cocktails will make sure you get every bit of enjoyment out of everyone’s favorite season.

Dano’s Summer Sangria 


Chill wine, then combine all ingredients in a pitcher. Add fresh fruit like strawberries, pineapple, and lime wedges. Include jalapeño slices for extra spice. Serve over ice. Makes 4-6 servings.

Flora Fizz


Add all ingredients except sparkling to a shaker tin with ice. Shake and strain into glass and top with Topo Chico

The Passion Project


  • 1.75 parts Courvoisier VSOP
  • .25 parts lemon juice
  • .25 parts Giffard Banane du Bresil Liqueur
  • .5 parts Passionfruit Puree
  • .5 Lapsang Souchong tea syrup*
  • Glass: Cocktail or “Martini”
  • Optional Garnish: Edible flower (Pansies are easiest to get and very colorful options)

Build all ingredients into a shaker, add ice, shake and fine strain into glass. 

*Make tea, then add super fine sugar for a 1:1 ratio

High West Whiskey Sour


  • 2 oz High West Double Rye
  • 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 Egg White
  • Brandied Cherries Garnish

Chill a martini glass. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain back into the cocktail shaker and shake again with no ice (reverse dry shake). Double strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with Angostura bitters and brandied cherries.

Vera Wang 72 PARTY Cocktail


Shake & pour into a chilled cocktail glass, royale with Vera Wang PARTY, garnish with lemon twist

Tia Maria Espresso Martini


Add Tia Maria’s liqueur, vodka and espresso to a shaker filled with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with coffee beans, if preferred.

Strawberry Whiskey Sour


Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Pour into a rocks glass. Garnish with a strawberry

Electric Cosmopolitan 


  • 2 fl oz Three Spirit Livener
  • 2 fl oz cranberry juice
  • 2 barspoons lime juice
  • 1/2 barspoon Seville orange marmalade

Add all ingredients to an ice-filled cocktail shaker or mason jar and shake hard. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with candied cranberries and a wheel of dried orange. Fresh orange also works. 

For a low alcohol twist, drizzle in half an ounce of citrus vodka before you shake!
