Rent A 500-Year-Old British Pub On Airbnb And Be Your Own Bartender

An English pub owner in Lincolnshire is offering would-be pub managers a chance to rent an entire 16th-century pub on Airbnb. Located in Tetford near England’s east coast about 4.5 hours north of London, The White Hart Inn is a six-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom property that has room for about 14 guests and can be your pub for the evening.

The White Hart Inn is your prototypical public house: the brick and white exterior is covered in ivy, while the wood-laden interior features a small pool table and a dartboard. There are four cask lines, another five or so draft lines, and also a variety of the hard stuff the looks within reaching distance.

“With this property, you’ll have exclusive access to the bar, lounge, dining area, kitchen, games room and garden,” says the listing. “Experience what it feels like to own your own bar for a long weekend. Order ahead of time and we’ll even hook up beers and lagers of your choice into the pumps.”

The venue is “perfect for a wedding reception, birthday parties, or christenings,” says the listing and we’d imagine it would be great for bachelor parties or just general rowdiness as well. It’s also a great stop for history lovers as the pub has been “frequented by many important people such as Dr Samuel Johnson and Alfred Lord Tennyson.”

The whole thing was going for only about $900 per night, which isn’t too shabby once spread across 14 guests. It seems, however, that booking might be getting more difficult now as the space has gone viral.

We aren’t sure when the pub will open up again, but if you want to keep an eye on it, head over to the Airbnb.
